TDS Racing Continues ORECA Relationship for 2028 and Beyond

TDS Racing, the team founded by Xavier Combet and Jacques Morello in 2005, has announced it will continue its 15-year relationship with ORECA and will compete with French manufacturer’s new-for-2028 chassis when the new technical regulations are introduced in 18 months time.

TDS Racing’s long history with ORECA began when it first competed with the ORECA 03 chassis in 2011 on its entry to the European Le Mans Series with Matthias Beche, Jody Firth and Pierre Thiriet. The team has gone on to win two Michelin Endurance Cup titles in IMSA competition in 2024 and 2025, finish second in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 standings in 2025 and has secure seven class podiums at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Following the announcements that United Autosports and Duqueine Team will compete with ORECA chassis for the 2028-2032 seasons, TDS Racing is now confirmed as the third team who will race with the new LMP2 chassis from the Signes-based manufacturer.

Co-owner of TDS Racing Xavier Combet echoed the closeness that his team and ORECA share.

“ORECA is an impeccable partner for TDS Racing,” he said. “Our relationship with the manufacturer from the Var region began in 2011, as soon as we entered LMP2. Since then, we have won numerous races and claimed several titles together, on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Our collaboration goes far beyond a technical partnership, with a  very close relationship with Hugues de Chaunac and his teams. For TDS Racing, choosing ORECA was therefore an obvious decision as we open a new chapter in LMP2.”

TDS Racing is currently sixth in the 2026 ELMS LMP2 Pro/Am standings after finishing fourth in class at the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
