TF Sport has announced that Nicki Thiim will return to the Redhill-based team to partner with Mark Farmer for a second season in the British GT Championship.
Farmer enjoyed great success in the national championship in 2018, with wins at Snetterton and Silverstone.
The announcement of the Danish driver’s return means that TF Sport’s driver line-up across its four-car entry is now finalised. In the GT3 category, Farmer and Thiim will race alongside Graham Davidson and Jonny Adam in the team’s new-for-2019 Aston Martin Vantage GT3s.
Mark Farmer is delighted that the 2018 pairing is reunited for the new season.
“Nicki and I have unfinished business in the British GT Championship,” said Mark Farmer. “I am delighted that he is coming back to help finish it!”
“I’m looking forward to the coming season with the new Aston Martin,” said Nicki Thiim. “It’s really going to be amazing driving the new GT3 around the great British tracks – some of them are now my favourites – old-school like Oulton Park, so I’ll really enjoy that.
“The first year, everything was new as I didn’t know my teammate Mark or the UK tracks, so we have a big advantage now going into the second season. We have a better understanding as to what to expect – pushing the right buttons – and so the aim is to perform better than last year and go for the championship.”
The 2019 British GT Championship opens at Oulton Park on April 20 – 22.
