BRADY and Singer Group partner with HERTZ Team Jota as 2023 WEC Livery Revealed

Hertz Team JOTA has announced that it will be joined on its 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar campaign by BRADY and Singer Group.

David Clark and Sam Hignett’s team has also revealed the livery that its Porsche 963 Hypercar will carry for the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship season, including its entry for the centenary running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

LMP2 FIA World Endurance Champions in 2022 and ten-time 24 Hours of Le Mans podium finishers, JOTA is based on Frant, near Tunbridge Wells in the South-East of England. The team has won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on three occasions but 2023 will be the first season that the team has stepped up to the Hypercar class, the most senior of the prototype classes in ACO competition, with the Porsche 963 LMDh. JOTA’s intention to enter as a privateer was announced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2022.

Hertz Team JOTA has also revealed two further partnerships for the new season. BRADY, the next-generation apparel brand, owned by five-time NFL Superbowl winner Tom Brady will join the partnership roster along with Californian luxury brand Singer Group.

The #38 Hertz Team JOTAS Porsche 963 LMDh is presented in a stunning champagne gold with a contrasting red stripe across the front carrying the JOTA logo. The logo of title sponsor Hertz, the title sponsor, is prominently displayed on the side pods with the logos of Singer and BRADY displayed on the central fin and rear-wing endplate respectively.

Hertz Team JOTA’s WEC entry will carry the number #38 or “Mighty 38” as it is known to sportscar enthusiasts around the world, a number that JOTA has displayed since the start of its prototype racing.

Singer Vehicle Design is an American company based on the West Coast that modifies and reimagines Porsche 911s. Founded by Rob Dickinson in 2009, the company has grown into a  luxury brands business which includes a range of high-end timepieces.

“In designing the livery, we wanted to recognize both the past and the future,” said Design Director, Chairman and Founder Rob Dickinson. “Growing up in the 1970s and ‘80s, drivers like Derek Bell, Hurley Haywood and Jacky Ickx were heroes, battling for hours in machines capable of well over 200mph while winning races in a golden era for Porsche.

“We’ve always been inspired by motorsport at Singer so, in the centenary year of the Le Mans 24 Hours, this golden livery celebrates all those who have competed at the highest levels of endurance racing, Hertz Team JOTA’s first campaign in the World Endurance Championship, and the Porsche 963’s role in driving the development of renewable fuels and hybrid technology. Spending time with this fabulous racing car gives us so much inspiration and learning. We can’t wait for the first race.”

JOTA Co-Owners David Clark and Sam Hignett said: ““As a team, we have demonstrated our abilities to perform securing 10 podiums in the last 9 years of Le Mans 24 Hours. Thanks to the support of our new partners, we’re stepping up to the Hypercar class and Hertz Team JOTA will be competing against some of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers. We have a strong, experienced team and as one of the few private entries into the class we’re keeping the spirit of Le Mans alive and look forward to getting out on track.”
